ZONAL

Sync your WHOOP data

ZONAL keeps itself up to date with WHOOP, so most of the time you don't need to do anything. When you want your latest workout or sleep in right now, you can sync by hand.

Steps

  1. Look at the box at the top right of the screen. It says Synced to and the time of the last update.
  2. Tap it. It switches to Syncing from WHOOP.
  3. Wait a few seconds. New data fills in on its own and the box shows the new Synced to time.

Good to know. You can sync by hand once a minute. Tap again sooner and you'll see "Synced a moment ago". Nothing is lost; your data is already fresh.

How ZONAL stays up to date on its own

  • WHOOP lets ZONAL know when a new sleep, recovery or workout is ready, and ZONAL picks it up.
  • When you open the app, ZONAL also checks WHOOP if it's been more than 15 minutes since the last update.

What the sync box can say

It says What it means
Synced to 10:02 AM Up to date as of that time
Syncing from WHOOP Pulling new data now
Loading first sync Your WHOOP history is still loading after you first signed in
Not synced yet Nothing has come in yet
Sync error retrying WHOOP didn't answer; ZONAL tries again on its own

Questions

My score from this morning isn't showing. Will syncing help?

Only once WHOOP has scored your recovery. Until then, Today says it's showing your last scored morning until WHOOP scores this one. Check that the WHOOP app has your recovery, then tap the sync box.

Why didn't anything change when I tapped it?

Either you synced in the last minute, or a sync was already running. Give it a minute and try again.

Does syncing work in the demo?

No. The demo uses sample data, so the sync box doesn't do anything there.
