Sign in with WHOOP
ZONAL uses your WHOOP account to sign you in, so there's no new password to make. You approve read-only access on WHOOP's own page, and ZONAL loads your history from there.
Steps
- Go to band.getzonal.com in your phone's browser.
- Tap Sign in with WHOOP.
- On WHOOP's page, sign in with your WHOOP email and password.
- Approve the access ZONAL asks for. You land back in ZONAL, signed in.
- The first time, ZONAL loads your WHOOP history. You'll see a Loading your WHOOP history card with Recoveries, Daily strain and steps, Sleep and Workouts filling in.
- When it's done you'll see Your WHOOP history is ready, and ZONAL walks you through a short setup: your activities, your usual week, your start date and units, and your goals.
Good to know. You can close the app while your history loads. It keeps loading without you.
What ZONAL can read
ZONAL asks WHOOP for read-only access to your profile, body measurements, recovery, cycles (strain), sleep and workouts. It can't change anything in your WHOOP account, and it never sees your WHOOP password: you type that on WHOOP's page, not ours.
How long you stay signed in
A sign-in lasts 30 days on that browser or Home Screen app. After that, ZONAL takes you back to the sign-in page. Tap Sign in with WHOOP again and you're back with all your data.
To sign out sooner, tap the round + button, then More, and tap Sign out at the bottom.
Saw "Sign-in didn't finish"? WHOOP didn't complete the sign-in, usually because the page sat open too long or the approval was cancelled. Tap Sign in with WHOOP and try again.
Questions
Do I need a separate ZONAL password?
No. Your WHOOP account is your ZONAL account. Signing in always goes through WHOOP.
Can ZONAL change anything in my WHOOP app?
No. The access is read-only. ZONAL reads your scores and workouts and never writes back to WHOOP.
I signed in on a new phone. Is my data still there?
Yes. Your data and settings live with your account, not the phone. Sign in with the same WHOOP account and it's all there.
