ZONAL

What your AI app can see

When you connect an AI app, it gets read-only access to your own WHOOP data through ZONAL. It can't change anything, and it never sees anyone else's data.

What it can read

The connection gives the AI app seven read-only tools. Each one fetches your data from WHOOP when the app asks.

Tool What it returns Default range
get_latest Your most recent recovery, sleep, workout and day in one go. Good for "how am I today?" Last few days
get_recovery Recovery score, resting heart rate, HRV Last 7 days
get_sleep Sleep performance, time in bed, sleep stages Last 7 days
get_workouts Sport, strain, average heart rate, calories, distance Last 30 days
get_cycles Day strain, calories, average heart rate Last 7 days
get_profile Your WHOOP name, email and user id
get_body_measurement Height, weight, max heart rate

The AI app can ask for more days than the default. Each request returns up to 200 records.

What it can't see

  • Anything you added in ZONAL: sick periods, trips, experiments, session labels, settings, goals, or weight, body fat and VO2 max entries.
  • ZONAL's own numbers, like the ZONAL Score or long-term stress. It reads the WHOOP data those come from.
  • Any other member's data. Each connection only ever reads the person who signed in.

It also can't write, change or delete anything, in ZONAL or in WHOOP.

Where your data goes

When you ask the AI app about your data, it's sent to the company behind that app (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Anysphere and the model you pick in Cursor) and handled under their terms and privacy policy, not ZONAL's. ZONAL never uses your data to train AI.

How to cut access

  • One app. Open Integrations from More, pick the app, and tap Disconnect, then tap again to confirm. It loses access right away, and only you can connect it again, by signing in and tapping Allow. The others stay connected.
  • Everything. Delete my data in Settings also removes every Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor connection. See Delete your data.

Then remove ZONAL from the app's own list, so it stops showing up in your chats.

Questions

Can I see which apps are connected?

Yes. The Integrations page lists them under Connected, with a check.

If I disconnect, can I connect again later?
